The trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is out ahead of the series’ launch on Amazon Prime September 2. This clip gives a more detailed look at the new flagship series that will be available on Prime Video.
Prime Video has just released the latest trailer of Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. While the earlier glimpses that we saw in the teaser at the start of the year were impressive and beautiful, this trailer takes it to a level Peter Jackson would be proud of.
The plot takes place in JRR Tolkien’s Middle-earth thousands of years prior to Peter Jackson’s Oscar-winning trilogy. This is a time that fans call the Second Age. Although the teaser is vague, Galadriel, the elven Queen, plays Robert Aramayo as Elrond.
Amazon promises great things with its series
“This could be a start of a new age,” the voiceover character says in the teaser. The streaming service gives a glimpse into Tolkien’s lands that are not yet visible on screen. The highlight of this two-and-a-half-minute trailer comes when Galadriel (Morfydd Clark) has a long fight with Elrond (Robert Aramayo). Galadriel can be heard asking Elrond “The enemy still exists.”
The question is, where? Galadriel, a young warrior who rose to the top of the armies in the north, is determined to find her brother’s killer. She is reunited with Halbrand (Charles Vickers), a new character. Charles Edwards is playing Celebrimbor, a character that LOTR-lovers will recognize as Celebrimbor, the elf smith responsible for the creation of the legendary rings.
Maxim Baldry is the famous Isildur, Aragorn’s ancestor, and he was played by Maxim Baldry. However, he fell prey to the corrupting power the One Ring. Below is Amazon’s amazing trailer. We are excited to see the series on Prime in September 2.
