AMD quietly added support to the Noise Suppression Technology, which we wrote about yesterday, to its driver.
This technology is a real-time noise reducer that can compete with Nvidia RTX Voice.
AMD Noise Suppression removes background noise from the environment. This allows for better clarity and concentration. This new feature uses a real-time deep-learning algorithm to reduce background audionoise. It works with both input and output devices of any AMD-based system.
AMD’s website states that the technology is only currently available for systems with Ryzen 5000 processors or Radeon RX6000 graphics cards. It is not clear if the technology requires both AMD components or if it can be used with only the CPU.
