Apple will bring back the Plus prefix in iPhone names after five years of absence. The new model of the upcoming line will be called the iPhone 14 Plus
Apple will revert to the old method of naming its smartphones. According to a source, the new iPhone 14 Max model will not be called “iPhone 14 Max”, as was previously believed, but rather the iPhone 14 Plus.
Apple will reintroduce the Plus prefix to its name five years after abandoning it. Recall that the iPhone 8 Plus was the last such smartphone. It was released in 2017.
Because many people have been familiar with such a system since then, the name iPhone 14 Plus should make it easier for them to understand. The name iPhone 14 Max may confuse inexperienced users. This set-top box was only available in older models and has been used alongside Pro in recent years.
The current Apple A15 Bionic SoC is credited to the iPhone 14 Plus and 14 Plus, while older models will get the A16 Bionic. Apple is expected to take this step because of a shortage in chips.
