Compiled a rating of all devices on Apple Silicon and not only. You can clearly understand which SoC in which device is capable of what
New Apple PCs built on the SoC M2 were put on sale yesterday. Source decided to compare all current Apple computers on different platforms within the Apple Silicon family and add new iPads and several generations of iPhone to the mix.
This comparison is made using Geekbench data. While it’s not as fascinating as using real applications for fundamental tasks, it’s still exciting to see the rating.
Although this rating is relatively predictable, some results might surprise you. In one test, the iPad Pro on M1 was faster than full-fledged Macs running on SoC M1. This is due to the GPU being reduced. This is a graphics performance test, so it makes sense.
It will be helpful to also clearly see that the M2 in processor testing is not too far behind the M1 Pro using an eight-core CPU.
The gap between the M1 and A15 Bionic versions is always significant. This is due to the differences in the configuration as well as entirely different power limits.
