Google created a technology that could be classified as “Apple magic” Google calls the new technology sound switching technology.
Fast Pair is the technology behind this technology. This is an Android service that allows you to quickly pair a smartphone and a Bluetooth device. It is almost the same as connecting headphones to a phone. It’s not about how you connect headphones to your smartphone, but rather about expanding the possibilities.
Google claims that the technology adjusts the sound according to the context. If you’re watching a video on your tablet, and get a notification on your smartphone, the sound in headphones won’t switch to your phone. If someone calls the phone, however, the headphones will switch to the smartphone automatically. The source device will have a button that allows you quickly to reconnect the headphones. They must also be able to connect simultaneously to two devices, which is rare on the market.
The technology is already available in the Pixel Buds Pro and will soon be available in a variety of Sony and JBL headphones.
