Korean Hyundai Motor Group has signed a memorandum to partner with British Rolls-Royce. The companies will collaborate on next-generation engines, hydrogen fuel cell electric propulsion.
There are many challenges that companies face. For the near future, the main goal is to lead advanced air mobility market (Advanced Air Mobility), AAM. This includes urban air transport (Urban Air Mobility), and regional air transports (Regional Air Mobility (RAM). As early as 2025, the first fruits of the collaboration between Hyundai and Rolls-Royce will be seen: The companies will display an aircraft equipped with a hydrogen-electric power station. This is the long-term goal of global cooperation: to develop a series of technologies and measures that achieve zero carbon emissions by 2050.
