The latest information from the supply chain states that Apple will start mass production of the iPhone 14 Series next month. However, the company is facing problems with some components.
RAM is Apple’s greatest headache right now. Samsung is experiencing problems with mass production making it difficult to ship. Experts have confirmed that there has been a shortage of memory and screen suppliers for the iPhone 14 in recent months.
Samsung is the only supplier of LPDDR5 RAM in the third quarter. The iPhone 14 Pro will be produced at a huge demand. Micron and SK Hynix could begin shipping in the fourth quarter. Micron’s deadline for memory certification was delayed and Hynix has quality problems.
The initial shortage of LCD screens caused by the LG Display panel problems can be made up by BOE and Samsung. This should be rectified soon.
Sources in the supply chain confirmed that Apple has not reduced orders for iPhone 14 but continues to place orders for iPhone 13 series. This is a hugely popular product.
