Samsung is about to launch its flagship solid-state drive. Model 990 Pro is already lit in the regulator’s base.
It is known only that the new product will support PCIe 5.0 interface. The product will also be available in 1 or 2 TB models. It is possible that Samsung will use its own memory and controller, although it is unclear. The new model’s speed is not yet known.
The 2TB SSD 980 Pro has read and write speeds respectively of 7000 and 5500 MB/s and performance is up to 1 million IOPS.
