Xiaomi officially announced that the Xiaomi 12S Ultra will feature eco-friendly silicone skin. It is said to be soft and comfortable, as well as more resistant to dirt. The case will never become dirty. It is easy to clean using a tissue. The material does not turn yellow or peel off after prolonged use.
The new material is also environmentally friendly and “full of technological innovations.” Xiaomi created a calfskin texture for the Xiaomi 12S Ultra to be more comfortable to touch. It is also very hard to get rid of.
A well-known insider, Digital Chat Station, stated that the Xiaomi 12S Ultra doesn’t have a ceramic model. The decision is not always made based on price. Sometimes, other factors are considered such as industry influence or internal trade-offs. To make the case lighter, Xiaomi 12S Ultra also uses silicone skin material.
It was previously reported that the engineering sample for Xiaomi 12 Ultra contains a white ceramic version. The company used ceramics among other smartphones in the Xiaomi MIX 4 (and MIX Fold) series.
Expect the announcement of the smartphone on July 4.
