SpaceX, an American corporation, is preparing for the first-ever orbital test flight of its SpaceX Starship transport system in deep space.
SpaceX is developing a Starship to transport cargo and people to Mars and the Moon. Two elements make up the system: Super Heavy, a massive booster and Starship, a 50-meter tall upper-stage spacecraft. Both of these can be reused.
SpaceX now has photos of a Starship prototype, Ship 24, delivered to a South Texas launch pad ahead of an orbital test flight.
Starship prototypes have been tested several times but have yet to enter orbit. The super-heavy Booster 7 rocket will launch Ship 24, which is already at the launch pad.
Elon Musk announced in June that the prototype Starship spacecraft would make its first orbital flight in July.
