Poco has two new smartphones in its Android mid-range range, which are ranked lower than the F4 GT. Depending on your needs, Poco F4 or Poco X4 GT may offer you some advantages or disadvantages. The F4 starts at 399.90 Euros and the X4 GT at 379.90 Euros. The Poco F4 is the smaller brother to the F4 GT, which was presented at the end April. It featured the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 in a smartphone that cost 600 euros.
Although the F4 is not equipped with Qualcomm’s top model, it offers nearly identical equipment. Poco can reduce the price of the Snapdragon 870 (the last expansion phase before the Snapdragon 888), to 399.90 Euros. In late 2019, the Snapdragon 865 was released. It was relaunched as a Plus model in Summer 2020 with a faster CPU, GPU, and finally launched in early 2021 with the Snapdragon 870 with a faster Prime core.
Start price reduced by 50 Euros
Poco sells the F4 in two versions: 6GB/128GB EUR399.90 or 8GB/256GB EUR449.90. On the Poco website, the manufacturer will be available starting June 27, at 1 p.m., in the colors Night Black and Moonlight Silver. The F4 can be purchased directly from the manufacturer or on Amazon for 349.90 or 399.90 euros, respectively.
OIS is available for the 64-megapixel camera
The rest of the equipment is almost identical to the Poco F4 GT. The 120 Hz AMOLED display has a different cover and cameras are set up differently. The F4 has a Poco optical image stabilizer (OIS), and a new aperture (f/1.8 rather than f/1.9). The 4,500mAh battery is smaller and can be charged with 67 watts instead of 120. The manufacturer also explains that the F4 smartphone is 7.7mm thin.
Poco X4 GT offers a larger battery
The X4 GT is a more detailed option if you don’t mind a little bit of depth. It measures 8.87 mm and comes next to the F4. The processor and display are two of the most distinctive features. The X4 GT has an IPS LCD screen instead of an AMOLED, but still supports 120 Hz and HDR. Poco advertises the F4 at 1300 cd/m2, which is not what the X4 GT should reach.
MediaTek Dimensity 9100 uses Arm cores that are newer
MediaTek Dimensity8100 might be better than the Snapdragon 870, as Cortex-A78 cores instead of A77 are used and the SoC was manufactured in TSMCN5 instead of N7P. The Arm Mali-G610 MC6 will not be able to compete with Qualcomm’s Adreno 650 CPU. Poco offers the chip with 8GB RAM and 128 GB or 256GB UFS 3.1.
The Poco X4 GT is available in Most of Europe starting July 4, at 1:00 PM, for 379.90 Euros and 429.90 Euros in the colors silver-black and blue. This model will be available for pre-order until 9:00 PM on July 4th. Prices starting at 299.90 euros and 349.90 euro respectively.
