According to the source, the Redmi K50S Pro and Redmi K50S Pro smartphone will be available in August. It also clarifies that Redmi General manager Lu Weibing had hinted at these smartphones yesterday.
Lu Weibing had announced a flagship smartphone that was built on the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 platform. Sources initially suggested we were talking about Redmi K50 Ultra. However, it has now been confirmed that Redmi K50S Pro and Redmi K50S Pro are the most likely new smartphones.
CMIIT certification last month spotted a Xiaomi phone model 22081212C. The Chinese 3C authority approved the device earlier in the month. According to the 3C database, the device will come with 120W fast charging. Redmi K50S Pro is the expected name for the phone in the home market.
This novelty is in direct competition with Xiaomi 12S Ultra (pictured).
K50S Pro will feature a 120Hz OLED screen, Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC and 8GB or 12GB LPDDR5 Ram. It can also have 512GB UFS3.1 storage. A 5000mAh battery supports 120W fast charging. The phone is expected to have a 200MP camera.
Rumours abound that Redmi K50S, Redmi K50S Pro and Redmi K50S Pro may be renamed Xiaomi 12T Pro and Xiaomi 12T Pro for the global market.
