Tae Moon Roh (TM Roh), the head of Samsung’s mobile business division, reported that Samsung shipped nearly 10 million foldable-screen phones to the market last ye, an increase of 300% over a year ago, Android Central reported.
Tae Moon Ro said that 70% of those 10,000,000 phones were Galaxy Z Flip3 shipments, which was higher than the company’s internal expectations. Samsung believes that the demand for next-generation foldable smartphones will only grow with the introduction of new models.
We saw an opportunity not only to design a new form, but also to create new experiences with smartphones. We were able to introduce the world’s first folding smartphone in 2019, after overcoming many technical hurdles. This has changed the industry forever.
