Elon Musk, Tesla CEO, stated that the company plans to start deliveries of the Cybertruck electric pickup trucks in the middle next year. Musk previously stated that the car would be available in 2020.
Elon Musk commented on Cybertruck’s incessant delays and stated that “Tesla doesn’t have a demand problem, but we do have a production problem.”
Tesla unveiled the truck in 2019, with the intention of having production begin in 2021. The company announced that production would be delayed until 2022 in August 2021. Rivian and Ford have also launched electric pickup trucks. Rivian claims it will produce 150,000 F-150 Lightning units by 2023.
The Cybertruck’s most distinctive feature is its angular design. Musk posted a tweet in late 2021 that he was concerned about the truck’s windshield wiper. It is now a huge “janitor”.
The Tesla Cybertruck was available in three versions, with either one, two or three motors and a range of 400 to 800 km. According to Musk, the three-engine variant will accelerate from 0-60 km/h in 2.9 seconds.
