Land Rover Classic announced the launch a limited edition Defender Works V8 Trophy II Land Rover Defender SUV.
Each of these SUVs will cost 225 000 pounds each. This is three times more than the original price of the Defender, which was originally offered at a cost of 67.7 million pounds.
Six years ago, the production of the Land Rover Defender frame was halted. However, in 2021, the company released a limited number of these SUVs in the Works V8 Trophy edition. 25 of them were sold in three days. The automaker introduced the Works V8 Trophy II special series a year later.
This car is based upon the Defender’s stock version, which was manufactured from 2012 to 2016. The original turbodiesel engine is gone. Instead, the 5-liter naturally aspirated V8 produces 405 horsepower. The motor is paired with an 8-speed “automatic” hydromechanical ZF and a 2-stage transfer case. The suspension and steering were upgraded, and the braking system was strengthened.
Camouflage patterns are what distinguish the special version. The pattern is composed of the contours and countries of continents. There were also power thresholds with running boards and black 18-inch wheels. The back of the vehicle has an expeditionary trunk and additional lighting.
