The latest AMD driver nearly doubles performance. It will get optimizations for OpenGL

The AMD driver latest has support for Noise Suppression technology and optimizations for OpenGL. This allows for incredible performance in games that use this API.

Minecraft is a great example of this. However, Minecraft also talks about an increase in performance of up to 15%. On the diagram, however, there’s a 92% increase!

This is true at a minimum for cards ranging from the Radeon RX6750 XT up to the RX6950 XT. Although it isn’t clear which benefit the younger adapters enjoy, it is likely that it is significantly less.

Nevertheless, the third-party test is available in the Unigine Heaven benchmark. It shows that the Ryzen 7 6800U’s iGPU performed better with the new driver. Although this is not as impressive as 80-90%, it is still noticeable.

To fully appreciate the differences, third-party testing in different games and with different video card models is required.
