Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has confirmed that Apple is working on an “extreme sports” version of its Apple Watch. This will feature a larger screen and a stronger metal case. He clarified that the Apple Watch Pro will be the name of this watch and that Apple is trying to attract Garmin users.
He said that the Apple Watch Pro will be more robust and resistant to shock, have better swim and hike tracking and a longer battery life. The body will be made from a metal alloy that does not contain aluminum.
This smartwatch is for extreme athletes, as well as anyone who regularly purchases Garmin high-quality sports watches for intense training.

Gurman stated that the Apple Watch model will be given a Pro prefix like other professional models, such as the iPad Pro, iPhone Pro, and AirPods Pro. The Apple Watch Edition line is ending with the transition to a rugged Apple Watch.
New products may be presented in September or possibly on September 13th.
